1976-77 Polska Olympic Weightlifting

Considering I don't speak Polish very well... or not at all, I don't have much info on this video.  What I do know is that it is UNBELIEVABLE!  I love the stoic faces on these guys as they pull, clean, and press some serious weight.

Classic Nike Print Ads

Obviously, Nike is worth billions.  They revenued 16325.90 million last year and a ton of that goes to marketing.  I love Nike ads almost as much as I love some of their sneaks.
Check out some of these past Nike print ads.  These first two are some of the more recent ones.

YiA Battle of the Bands 2007

Well I just finished up the banner for this year's Youth in Action Battle of the Bands and I figured I'd post it.  ...I guess that means I'm somewhat proud of it.  It still needs a little touching up but a good start nonetheless.  Click it (or ticket) to see the enlarged version.

Parking Garage!

Ahh, the weekend.  Tonight was really nice.  Andrea and I had dinner at one of our local favorite spots, Trulli Flatbread.  Located on Kirkwood, it showcases a Mediterranean-American menu that features only locally grown produce, meats and cheeses.  Extremely good stuff!  Afterward, we went to Border's for a little bookstore/coffee date.

On our way home, I talked Andrea into stopping by the parking garage right next to our apartment.  I admit, it was pretty easy "talking her into" this brief little stop since I was the one driving.  I had my skateboard in the trunk and I thought it would be fun to skate around for a little while.  She was a good sport and actually took some pictures of me whilst in action.

"If you're not out of control, you're not in control!"  Good words to live by.

Such a poser

I think Andrea is ready to go.

Back in the day when my dad was a little younger than I am, growing up in Champaign-Urbana, he and his buddies would frequent the local parking garage as optimal venue for them to skateboard.  It's kinda cool that I am able to do the same thing nowadays, here in Bloomington.

Parkour Meets Skate?

I've seen plenty of parkour videos before, and I've also seen my fair share of skate vids as well. Combining the two? Well this is just insane; especially the stunt this fella' pulls off at the very end.
